Dismissed speaker Balochistan Assembly Aslam Bhootani on Friday filed a writ petition in the Balochistan High Court. A single bench of the BHC comprising Justice Tahir Safdar Bakri issued notice to Deputy Speaker Balochistan Assembly Syed Matiullah Agha and Secretary to appear before the bench on December 31.

The writ petition was filed by Baz Muhammad Kakar, on behalf of the sacked speaker Balochistan Assembly. The petitioner contended that he had been removed through using unconstitutional and illegal means.
